Overseas: USB-C charging port has become important news after Europe wants it to become the standard part for all mobile devices to reduce electronic waste, and Apple is the only manufacturer that has not yet used USB- C for its smartphone.

Now, robotics engineering students have shown that they can replace Apple's Lightning connector with a USB-C port. On his YouTube channel, master student Ken Pillonel experimented with the iPhone X with a USB-C charging port, promising to have a full video later on how to change it.
Europe has proposed a law that requires USB-C charging for all phones and electronic devices in order to reduce electronic waste and inconvenience to consumers.

It is not clear if such processing has ever been done before, but most people should not try it at home. Pillonel has a resume and is currently pursuing a master's degree in robotics at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology.
